Meet Katy, Our New Pastry Chef 

We have some incredibly exciting news bubbling away behind the scenes in The Garden Room kitchen. Katy joined our team just yesterday and we are absolutely thrilled to have her on board.

For as long as she can remember, baking is all Katy has ever wanted to do and that lifelong passion shines through in everything she creates.

Right now, she’s settling into her new space, waiting for her fresh ingredients to arrive and rolling up her sleeves to start testing out the kitchen. Over the next few weeks, she’s going to be treating the team to a sneak peek (and taste!) of her skills while we curate a new specials menu together.

Katy’s absolute favorite things to bake are cookies but she is equally passionate about crafting delicate mini individual cakes, fresh tarts, classic carrot cake and vibrant lemon meringues. Being surrounded by everything here at The Plant Place, she especially loves drawing colourful, floral inspiration into her designs.

While you can’t quite sample her creations just yet, we promise it will be well worth the short wait. We’ll be checking back in with her in the kitchen in a few weeks to show you what she’s been up to.
